Charles R. “Charlie” Tietjens, 95, of Boltonville, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011, at the Beechwood Rest Home in Beechwood.
He was born on August 23, 1916, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Charles and Bertha (Reul) Tietjens. Charles served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Painters Union in Chicago. In 1982, Charles moved to Boltonville with his brother, Richard.
Those Charlie leaves behind to cherish his memory include cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Tietjens.
Funeral services for Charles were held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. Rev. David Schlieter officiated and burial was in Boltonville Union Cemetery in Boltonville.
Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Tuesday from noon until the time of services.
