Clara S. Horner, age 84, of West Bend, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2006 at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
She was born on August 8, 1921 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Walter P. and Mary (Frasz) Olszewski, and on May 22, 1937, she was united in marriage to Ralph E. Horner, Sr. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Racine. Her husband preceded her in death on September 5, 1975.
Clara was a very active member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 732 of West Bend and attended many meetings and conventions. She was employed by Regal Ware, Inc. in Kewaskum until 1986 and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels.
Survivors include four children, Ralph (Maryann) Horner of Kewaskum, James (Judi) Horner of West Bend, Dennis Horner of Atlanta, Georgia and Donna (Greg) Thorson of Bethany, Oklahoma; a son-in-law, Ronnie Tillmann of Green Bay; a special friend, Willard Koepke of Jackson; a brother, Sylvester (Cora) Olszewski of Johnson Creek; a sister-in-law, Alice Folker of Milwaukee, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Clara was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Tillmann; two granddaughters, Ann-Marie Horner and Debra Tillmann; five brothers, two sisters, two stepbrothers and a stepsister.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 8877 Forestview Road, Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial was at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called on Tuesday at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
