Clarinda M. Yearling, (nee Braasch), age 95, of West Bend, passed away Saturday March 22, 2008 at Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
She was born in West Bend on December 2, 1912 to the late Otto and Minna (nee Schmidt) Braasch. Clarinda became a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1930.
Clarinda was united in marriage to Frank Yearling on April 7, 1934 in West Bend. After their marriage, they moved to West Allis and Clarinda became a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, where she was active in the church choir. She also was an avid golfer.
Frank preceded her in death in 1996, and Clarinda moved back to West Bend in 1997.
Clarinda is survived by a brother, Lawrence (Vida) Braasch of Yuma, AZ; a sister-in-law, Mildred Braasch of Wauwatosa; special niece, Irene (Jay) Welzien of West Bend; along with many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by six sisters, Elda Jacobsen, Emily Kreutzer, Anita Kannenberg, Florence Robinson, Valetta Eisentraut, and Gertrude Beck; along with three brothers, Hilbert Braasch, Lester Braasch, and Martin Braasch.
Funeral services in remembrance of Clarinda will be held on Thursday March 27th at 6:00 pm at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Sharon Stier of Faith United Church of Christ, Slinger, will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place in Washington County Memorial Park on Friday March 28th at 10:00 am. Memorials to Faith United Church of Christ are appreciated.
