Clifford J. "C.J." Marks, 88, of West Bend, passed away Monday, July 10, 2006 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1917 in Wisconsin Rapids to the late Orren and Leonora (nee Kissinger) Marks. On Sept. 13, 1941, he was united in marriage to Elvera Beck in Junction City and the couple moved to West Bend in 1943. He was employed as a production manager at West Bend Equipment Company for many years, retiring in 1980. He was a long-time member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend.
"C.J." is survived by his wife, Elvera; three children, Bonnie (Tom) Arndt of West Bend, Betty (Steve) Roecker of Hazelhurst, and Dale (Diane) Marks of South Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren, Shelly (Terry) Ziegelbauer, Randall Arndt, Bruce Arndt, Brian (Jill) Arndt, Brett (Deana) Roecker, Joelle Roecker, Jamie Roecker, Douglas Conery, Kristopher Marks, Brenda Marks, Carrie (Mark) Zirfloff; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Florene Schroedel of Wisconsin Rapids; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Patricia Arndt.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 809 S. 6th Ave., West Bend. Rev. George Mumm will officiate and entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
