Clifton H. Kershaw

Clifton H. Kershaw, age 85, of West Bend, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday December 9, 2004.

He was born on May 8, 1919 in Milwaukee to the late Clifton W. and Eva Jane (Watts) Kershaw, and was a graduate of Washington High School. On June 21, 1937 he was united in marriage to Marcella Block in Milwaukee. Together they made their home in Milwaukee until Cliff entered the U. S. Army and served in the Pacific Theater during WW II. After his discharge they continued to live in Milwaukee and Mequon. In 1976 they moved to the Tampa, FL area and Cliff started Kershaw Industrial Sales, which he owned and operated until his retirement, and in 1998 they moved to West Bend. They also enjoyed their summer home in High Cliff.

They were members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in West Bend. Cliff's goal was to travel the world during his lifetime. A goal he accomplished. He also enjoyed golf, boating, and photography.

He is survived by his devoted wife Marcella; three children, Barry (Kathleen) Kershaw of Allenton, Roger Kershaw of Newport Beach, CA, and Penelope (Michael) Polak of Montreal, Canada; seven grandchildren, Brent (Kathleen) Kershaw of West Bend, Bradley (Kathleen) Kershaw of West Bend, Kelly Kershaw of Wauwatosa, Jennifer (Bruce) Mcdonald of Montreal, Canada, Jason Beveridge of Montreal, Canada, Erin (Ted) Hanson of Mission Viejo, CA, and Ross (Janina) Kershaw of San Diego, CA; five great-grandchildren, Cody, Kyle, Katie, and Nathan Kershaw, and Abigail Hanson; a sister-in-law Viola Oberheu of Butler; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Frank.

Funeral services for Clifton will be held on Sunday December 12th at 6:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home. Rev. Oscar Kraft will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Memorials to Our Savior's Lutheran Church are appreciated. Cremation will follow at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, West Bend.
