Dale G. Liepert, 69, of Lomira, passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa on Friday, March 14, 2025, with his family at his side.
Dale Liepert entered this world on June 23, 1955, in West Bend, the second born of four children to Lloyd and Myrtle (née Abel) Liepert, who have since passed. His life took a delightful turn on June 8, 1974, when he married Sandra Ziegelbauer at the scenic Ridge Run Park in West Bend.
Dale graduated from West Bend East High School in 1973. He then began working as an auto glass specialist, rising to manage the local branch. In 1977, Dale embarked on a new career in the insurance industry after completing numerous insurance courses. He enjoyed a fulfilling career as an insurance agent until his retirement in 2008.
Active hobbies that he shared with many friends as well as his son, grandson, nephew, and cousins include hunting, particularly the annual deer camp, fishing and golfing. These joyful activities added much to his life and those around him. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandkids.
Dale proudly served many years as a member of the Kewaskum Fire Department and as an EMT with the Kewaskum Ambulance Service. He was a past president of the Ozaukee Washington Life Underwriters Association and the Rural Mutual Agents Association. He was an active member in and presided over the Montello Rod and Gun Club during the many years spent both camping and then residing in the area.
He leaves behind his loving wife of fifty years, Sandra; two children: a son Guy (Kami) Liepert and their children Kalista and Diesel; and daughter Amy Liepert, MD. Additionally he is survived by a brother, Dennis (Tammy) Liepert; a sister, Susan (James) Good; his sister-in-law, Mary Byrum; a brother-in-law, Gary (Glennis) Ziegelbauer; other friends, family members and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Douglas a brother, Douglas Liepert; his parents-in-law, Raymond and Erna Ziegelbauer; two brothers-in-law, Mark Ziegelbauer and Tim Byrum.
VISITATION: Dale’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
SERVICE: A service for Dale will take place at the funeral home on Friday at 2:30 p.m. The service will be live streamed Dale G. Liepert Service. A private family burial will be held on Saturday at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
