Daniel A. Corbell, "Dan the meat man", age 69, of West Bend, entered the Heavenly Gates on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 while swimming.
Dan was a meat cutter for over 52 years. He was an all around supporter of Oconomowoc athletics, especially their wrestling club. Dan was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy with three tours to Vietnam and was a member of the Fred A. Schaefer V.F.W. Post # 1393.
Dan was the most loving, devoted, and caring husband to Judy (nee Lembck) for almost nine years. He was the loving father of Jeffrey and Christopher (Kirsten); and grandfather to Adriana. "Papa" was like a dad to Fred (Karen) Akeson and his precious granddaughters, Harmony, Savannah, and Paulina. They said he was awesome and "Papa, Papa, Papa" was heard everywhere. Dan is further survived by brothers, John, Bill, and Joe of Oregon; sisters, Michaelee of Oregon and Charlene of California; his mother-in-law, Esther Lembck; and many other family and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his mother, father, and twin brother.
Funeral Services in honor of Dan will be held on Monday, July 9th, at 7:00 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 pm until the time of service.
