Daniel J. Herber

Daniel “Dan” Herber, age 68 years, of Oshkosh, formerly of Golden, Colorado, entered his new life on October 7, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Dan was born on December 11, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Donald and Marion  (nee Gocker) Herber.  He was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Galler on March 25, 2000 in Golden, Colorado.

After high school, Dan went on to the United States Marine Corps, honorably serving his country. Truck driving was Dan’s passion, and he also enjoyed his position as an Auto Body Technician. Dan enjoyed the quiet of nature throughout his life, and also keeping his lawn pristine; along with his house. Drives with Mary in the mountains out West were fond memories as well.

Those Dan leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 22 years, Mary; his brother, Robert Herber; his nephew Danny (Jessie) Herber; uncle Wayne Herber; his step-daughter Amy (Rafael) Rodriguez; his step-son Frank Miles; brother-in-law James (Kerri) Galler; sisters-in-law Susan Galler, Patricia (Russel) Smith, Jean (Bob) Winter, and Jacquelyn Bremer. He is further survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his sister, Lynne Stacy; along with other loving relatives and friends.

Dan’s family will celebrate his life on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Washington County Memorial Park (3358 Paradise Drive, West Bend, Wisconsin – 53095). There will be a graveside service officiated by Pastor Rick Noble of House of Judah.

The family would like to thank the nurses from Aurora at Home Hospice for their care and compassion.
