Daniel M Sorensen

Daniel “Dan” Sorensen, age 77 years, of St. George, Utah was called home to be with the Lord on March 26, 2021 at his home with his loving wife, Anita Sorensen by his side.

Dan was born on December 23, 1943 in Neenah, Wisconsin to Marvin and Mae Sorensen (Hardwick).  He was united in marriage to Anita Cave on June 20, 1981.

Dan graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Milwaukee School of Engineering.  He was a Russian Linguist in the Air Force.  Dan worked at WE Energies as Supervisor in the Human Resources Department.  He was also a realtor with his wife since 1982.

Dan enjoyed golfing, gardening, grilling, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Those Dan leaves behind on this earth to his memory include his wife, Anita Sorensen; son, Todd (Carol Leveroni) Sorensen; three step-daughters, Michelle (Shawn) Seering, Yvonne Rusch, and Christina (Nathan) West; four grandchildren, Nicole (Luay) AlBawi, Chad Rusch, Luke Sorensen, and Tate Sorensen, five great-grandchildren, Jasmine Huebschmann, Aria AlBawi, Adam AlBawi, Jacob AlBawi, and Nathan Huebschmann.  Dan is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Marvin and Mae Sorensen; Dan was preceded in death by his brother, James Sorensen; step-son, Robert Jung, son-in-law, Christopher Bowers, and grandson, Paul Huebschmann (who died on April 17, 2021).

Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthias Catholic Church (N1081 County Road S, New Fane, WI) with Father Jacob Strand officiating.

A light lunch will be served in the basement of the church after the Mass.
