David F. Roos

David F. Roos, 77, of West Bend, passed away Friday, August 12, 2005 at his residence.

He was born on August 16, 1927, in the town of Wayne, to the late Philip and Pauline (nee Ritger) Roos.

He was united in marriage to Edna Gitter, the love of his life, on November 19, 1947 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allenton. She preceded him in death on August 18, 2001.

David worked for the Gehl Company for 43 years in the assembly and parts department before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Gehl Company Hexelbank Club and Holy Angels Catholic Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Patricia (James) Redig of Kewaskum; five grandchildren, Steve (Jan) Redig, Amy (Greg) Bruckert, Brian (Molly) Redig, Wendy (Michael) Park, and Sherry (Nathan) Downhour; four great-grandchildren, Alda Redig, Aaron Park, Daniel Park, and Zachary Downhour; a daughter-in-law, Donna (Jeff) Miller of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, May Roos of West Bend, and Marian (Rudy) Weiss of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Eugene Roos, a sister, Helen (Edward) Panzer, and two brothers, Philip and Paul Roos.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 16, at 7:00 pm at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. Visitation will be at the church from 5:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 17 at 10:00 am at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
