David A. Schulz, 60, of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at his home.
David was born on July 9, 1962, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Kenneth Schulz and Rosemary Hoffert. On August 6, 1988, David was united in marriage to Joyce Kustelski in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together the raised two children. David and Joyce separated later on in life. On April 5, 2007, he was united in marriage to Jeanne Schulz in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jeanne preceded David in death on October 12, 2020. David was a snow plow and semi-truck driver. He also enjoyed going to car shows, riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his friends. Wherever David went, he was well known and everyone loved to be around him. Above all else, David loved his family, especially his kids.
Those David leaves behind to cherish his memory include two children, Andrew Schulz and Lisa Schulz; his former wife, Joyce Schulz; his siblings, Robert (Kathy) Schulz and Patti James; his step-mother, Ann Marie (Dean) Buss; two sisters-in-law, Susan and Carol; his mother-in-law, Delcy Gruett; two nephews, Robert Jr. (Tami) Schulz and Jacob James; a niece, Sami James; two great nephews, Liam Schulz and Zeppelin James; a great niece, Cecilia Schulz; other relatives and friends. Additional family includes the Cakanic family, Brasted family, Stasiewski family, Garcia family, Cochran family, and the Meyer family.
In addition to his wife, Jeanne, David was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Schulz; his mother, Rosemary (Moe) Huckstep; his father-in-law, Ronald Gruett; a brother, Kenneth “Dutch” Schulz Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Earl and Mary Hoffert; and his faithful furry companion, Henry; his former father-in-law, Max Kustelski; his former mother-in-law, Jean Kustelski; and his former sister-in-law, Janice Cakanic.
A Celebration of Life for David will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at American Legion Post #382 (N88W16652 Main St, Menomonee Falls, WI - 53051).
In place of sending flowers, David’s family would gratefully request donations to cover funeral costs. Donations made in David’s name can be directed to Andrew Schulz.
