David R. "Duke" Smith, Jr., 34, of Campbellsport, formerly of PeEll, Washington, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009.
He was born on January 31, 1975, in Washington, the son of Dave and Shelley (Haugan) Smith.
Survivors include his son, Richard Topelt of PeEll, Washington; his parents, Dave and Shelley Smith of PeEll, Washington; a special friend, Katherine Boettcher of Campbellsport; three sisters, Diana (Jason) Pierce of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tami (Brian) Rodriguez-Buss of Campbellsport and Kelly Bonagofski of Curtis, Washington; his paternal grandmother, Alta Smith; four uncles, Melvin, Marvin and Gene Smith and Bob Haugan; his aunt, Mary; six nieces, Shirley, Courtney, Mirandia, Tami, Tricia and Victoria; two nephews, Timothy and Aaron; a great-niece, Charlie Jean, numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
David was preceded in death by two uncles, Joseph Smith and Timothy Haugan; his maternal grandmother, Shirley Henley and two grandfathers.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services for David will be held in PeEll, Washington.
