David L. Wagner, age 68, of West Bend, found peace on October 22, 2008 at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.
He was born on July 24, 1940 in Milwaukee, to the late David and Molly (nee Moninger) Wagner. David graduated from Custer High School in the class of 1958. On May 23, 1964, David was united in marriage to Roberta Kay Tromblay at Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon.
Together they lived in Menomonee Falls until they moving to West Bend in 1989. David worked as a shipping clerk for Evinrude in Milwaukee until his retirement. He loved his animals: cats, dogs, deer, raccoons, turkeys and songbirds. There were so many acts of kindness that were part of him.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Kay; two children, John Wagner of Menomonee Falls and Jean Wagner of Campbellsport; his sister, Ruth (LeRoy) Seefeld of Milwaukee; his sister-in-law, Alverna (Don) Schneider of Mequon; two nieces, Jennifer Schneider of Eau Claire and Bonnie (Keith) Boudwine of Richfield; two nephews, LeRoy (Sunee) Seefeld of Menomonee Falls and Dan (Barbara) Seefeld of Germantown; his best friends, Russ and Tom; many other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services in remembrance of David will be held on Saturday, October 25th at 4:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. William Dushek will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be Monday, October 27th at 9:30 am in Washington County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to an animal shelter of your choice are appreciated.
