Dennis W. Mildbrandt

Dennis W. "Denny" Mildbrandt, age 66, of West Bend, passed away Sunday March 9, 2014 at The Kathy Hospice in the Town of Polk.

He was born on July 29, 1947 in Fond du Lac to Warren and Gladys (nee Puls) Mildbrandt. Dennis grew up in Mayville and graduated from Mayville High School in the class of 1965. He then served honorably in the U.S. Navy Seabee's in Vietnam. After his discharge he worked for the West Bend Company.

On June 20, 1970 Dennis was united in marriage to Suzanne Roos at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend. In 1974 Dennis became a career military man reenlisting into the U.S. Navy Seabees. He moved with his family to Port Hueneme, CA until his discharge in 1994. From 1994 until 2000 they resided in Woodland Park, CO. They returned to West Bend in 2000 and Dennis worked at Fleet Farm. After earning his Accounting Degree from Moraine Park in 2004 he became an accountant for the Eisenhower Center in Milwaukee until retiring in 2010.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the American Legion Post #69 in Mayville. Dennis enjoyed mowing the lawn, gardening, fishing, barbeques with family and friends, family vacations, along with planning and building all kinds of things.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Suzanne; three children, Chad (Jennifer) Mildbrandt of Colorado Springs, CO, Kevin (Martha) Mildbrandt of Port Hueneme, CA, and Kristi Mildbrandt of West Bend; eight grandchildren, Austin, Lily Brian, Dylan, Camden, Cassandra, Abigail, Mia, and Kayli; his parents, Warren and Gladys Mildbrandt of Beaver Dam; a sister, Diane (Yogin) Mehta of Oak Creek; two sisters-in-law, Diana (Bryan) Schlosser of West Bend, and Julie Roos of Dubuque, IA; three nephews, Ryan (Kirstin) Schlosser, Christopher Mehta, and Andrew Roos; a great-niece, Madysen Schlosser; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Mildbrandt; and a brother-in-law, Philip Roos.

Funeral services in remembrance of Dennis will be held on Sunday March 16th at 4:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church (140 N. 7th Ave.) West Bend. Rev. David Schoob will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday at the church from 2:00 pm until the time of service. Cremation will follow at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral & Cremation Service and Inurnment will be in Washington County Memorial Park.

Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, the Kramer Cancer Center, or The Kathy Hospice are appreciated by the family.
