Dennis H. Petri Sr., 48, of the town of Byron, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on June 3, 1960, in Wausau, the son of Norman and Barbara (Balz) Petri Sr., and on June 13, 1981, he was united in marriage to Carol Breit at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy.
Dennis was employed by Tecre Company in Fond du Lac as a maintenance supervisor for seven years.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carol; three children, Dennis (Jessica) Petri Jr., Kurtis Petri and Elizabeth Petri all of the town of Byron; his father, Norman Petri Sr. of Florida; his stepfather, Eugene Kriehn of Lomira; a brother, Norman (Renee) Petri Jr. of Theresa; five sisters, Sheri (Perry) Whitty of Fond du Lac, Kelly (Terry) Westberg of Brantwood, Jackie (Phil) Marheine of Merrill, Tracy Grimes of Lomira and Roxann (Earl) Staley of Live Oak, Florida; five grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Kriehn.
A Memorial Mass for Dennis was held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Sons of Zebedee St. John Catholic Church, Highway 175 north of Byron. Father Michael Peterson officiated and cremation took place.
The family received visitors at the church on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
