Dennis W. Reagles

January 24, 1947 — February 17, 2009

Dennis W. Reagles, age 62, of West Bend, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 24, 1947 in Milwaukee to the late William and Rosetta (nee Doman) Reagles. Early on, his family moved to Belgium and Dennis attended school in Port Washington. Following his high school graduation, Dennis served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He was united in marriage to Judith Lecher on May 31, 1969 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Dennis worked as a plant manager for EST Company in Grafton for many years before moving to Reedsville. During that time he was employed at Ahrens in Brillion. Eventually he and his wife moved back to West Bend and Dennis returned to work at EST Company.

Dennis put his battle with cancer on his own terms. When it was time to leave, he faced death with the same strength, rationality, and logic that he lived his life with. Dennis' final lesson echoed the same immutable nature he lived.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Judith; four children, Jacqueline (Pete) Janus, Jeannie Sciachitano, Janette (Rick) Biertzer, and Ryan (Sheila) Reagles; four grandchildren, Christopher and Brittany Biertzer and Cody and Cortney Janus; a sister, Eve Larson; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Bintzler, Barbara (Wayne) Brix, Eileen (Clifford) Behm, and Susan Rexford; brothers-in-law, Michael (Lisa) Lecher, and Mark (Bonnie) Lecher; an aunt, Ruby Becker; his cousins; and many other dear relatives and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Rosetta Reagles; parents-in-law, Alois and Henrietta Lecher; and his brother-in-law Nick Bintzler.

In honor of Dennis' request, there will be a small private memorial this spring; we'll bring Dad back to his favorite place.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Horizon Hospice and to Chix 4 A Cause for all of their support.
