Dian A. Donath, (nee Degnitz) age 78, of the Town of Farmington, passed away Saturday July 20, 2013 at her home, with her family by her side.

She was born on April 28, 1935 on the family homestead farm in the Town of Farmington, to the late Walter and Amanda (nee Bretschneider) Degnitz. And graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1953.

On August 8, 1953 Dian was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Donath at St. Michael Catholic Church, in St. Michael's. Together they raised their family in the Town of Farmington. Dian spent her time raising her children and helping Bob with the bookwork from his milk trucking business. Bob preceded her in death August 5, 1991.

She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Farmington Turner Athletic Assoc., and the Boltonville Sportsman's Club. Dian enjoyed gardening, mowing her lawn, playing cards, attending grandchildren events, fishing trips up north with family and friends, and casino trips with her friend Barb.

Dian is survived by six children, Susan (Thomas) Rettler of Kewaskum, Robert (Debra) Donath of West Bend, Michael (Laurie) Donath of Eagle, David (Keri) Donath of Kewaskum, John Donath of West Bend, and Scott (Jenny) Donath of Kewaskum; daughter-in-law, Kerry (Steve) Forster of Fredonia; 25 grandchildren, Aaron (Pam) Rettler, Joe Rettler, Amy Rettler, Kala (Michael) Schilter, Rob Donath, Angie (Andy) Krejcarek, Drew (Shannon) Donath, Michael Donath, Amanda Donath, Matthew Donath, Mackenzie Donath, Adam (Carissa) Donath, Alissa (Matt) Hartmann, Breyan (Nick) Skeen, Garett (Lindsay) Donath, Sydney Donath, Samantha Donath, Skylar Donath, Peyton Donath, Bradyn Donath, Everett Donath, Marie (Jake) Sandlin, Jesse Boudreau, Brooke Boudreau, and Adrianna Forster; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur (Dorothy) Degnitz of West Bend; brother-in-law, Herbert Donath of Kewaskum; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; son, James; sister and her husband, Darleen & Ruben Geidel; and a brother, David Degnitz.

Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Dian will be held on Wednesday, July 24th, at 7:00 pm at St. Michael Catholic Church. Rev. Edwin Kornath will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the church from 4:00 pm until the time of Mass. Burial will be in Fillmore Union Cemetery on Thursday at 11:30am.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Horizon Hospice, the staff of the Kramer Cancer Care Center at St. Joseph's Hospital, Dr. Colin Mooney, and nurse Linda, for their loving care during Dian's illness. Also to those who so generously donate blood and platelets.
