Diana K. Pamperin, (nee Sterr), age 86, of the town of Wayne, passed away on Friday, June 08, 2018 while at Ivy Manor in West Bend.
Diana was born on January 28, 1932 in the town of Lomira to the late Alvin and Lydia (nee Heldt) Sterr. She graduated from Mayville High School in the class of 1949. Three years later on June 28, 1952, Diana was united in marriage to Arthur Pamperin at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Knowles. Diana farmed with her husband until he preceded her in death on June 17, 1983. Following his passing, Diana worked at the Threshold until age 79.
Diana was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in the town of Wayne since 1952 where she was active in the church’s Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Washington County Homemakers. She loved all animals, especially her dogs. She enjoyed gardening, lawn mowing, strawberry picking, baking desserts, spending time with her grandchildren, and simply being outdoors.
Those Diana leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Sandra Survis of West Bend and Lloyd (Amy) Pamperin of the Town of Wayne; six grandchildren, Katherine Survis, Adam (Yvonne) Survis, Dustin Survis, Kevin (Jessica) Pamperin, Jill (Jason) Furman, and Jay (special friend Kathy Grap) Pamperin; five great-granddaughters, Eleanor Survis, Isabel Pamperin, Claire Pamperin, Lilly Furman, and Rose Furman; her sister, Betty Nickel; her brother, David (Sandy) Sterr; two sisters-in-law, Verona Sterr and Adela Pamperin; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her son, Brian Pamperin; her son-in-law, Michael Survis; two infant sisters; two brothers, Donald Sterr and Armond (Dorothy) Sterr; her sister-in-law, Lucille (Armond) Czoschke; and her brother-in-law, Melvin Nickel.
A funeral service in honor of Diana will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church (6438 Hwy. D Allenton, WI 53002). Rev. Steven Bode will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lighthouse Youth Center (5641 N. 68th St. Milwaukee, WI 53218) or to New Beginnings – A Home for Mothers (Box 56 Richfield, WI 53076) are greatly appreciated by the family.
