Diane D. Marschner, (nee Endlich), age 54, of West Bend, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the Samaritan Health Center.
She was born on August 29, 1952 in West Bend to the late Byron and Hazel (nee Klumb) Endlich. Diane was raised in West Bend and graduated from West Bend High School class of 1970. She attended UWWC and later graduated from Lakeland College with a Degree in Education in 1974.
On July 19, 1975 Diane was united in marriage to Al Marschner Jr. at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend. Diane has spent the last 28 years teaching for the Kewaskum School District, with 20 of those years in Farmington. Through her profession she has deeply touched the lives of many children. She retired in 2001 due to health reasons.
Diane was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in West Bend and member of the church choir. She loved the Green Bay Packers and absolutely anything "Disney". Her family, church, and teaching were the most important things in her life.
Diane is survived by her husband, Al; two children, Andrew and Katie, both of West Bend; her mother-in-law, Van Marschner of Appleton; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Wood of Appleton; two brothers-in-law, Merlin Marschner of St. Louis, MO, and Ken (Becky) Marschner of Prescott, AZ; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and uncle, Ollie Endlich.
Funeral services for Diane will be held on Wednesday, October 18th at 7:00 pm at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Rev. Oscar Kraft and Rev. Pam Marolla will co-officiate. Visitation will be at the church only on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until the time of service. Cremation will follow at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral & Cremation Service and burial of Diane's cremated remains will be in Washington County Memorial Park.
Memorials to the Alzheimer's Assoc., or KEYS (Kewaskum Education Youth Scholarship Fund) are appreciated by the family.
