Dolores King

Dolores King (nee Zingsheim), age 81 years, of West Bend, formerly of Allenton, was reunited with her dad in Heaven on October 25, 2024.

Dolores was born in Allenton and raised on the family farm.

Dolores was a Slinger High School graduate and went on to Moraine Park Technical College and earned her degree in accounting.  She was a longtime employee of the Samaritan Home accounting department in West Bend.

In the early 1990s, Dolores followed her dreams and moved to Colorado, bought her first house, and opened her small business for artisans (Dee Specialties).  Later, she returned to West Bend to be closer to family in 2019.

Dolores enjoyed making stained glass projects, gardening, visiting the Garden of the Gods, and playing with her many feline and canine companions over the years.

Those Dolores leaves behind to cherish her memory include her mother, Beulah; two daughters, Renee (Guy) and Julie (Jeff); and four granddaughters, Ashley, Olivia, Celia, and Mariah. She is also survived by niece, Jill, and other relatives and friends.

Dolores was preceded in death by her dad, Wendolin; brother, Jerry; and daughter, Mary Ann.

VISITATION:  Dolores’ family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI  53095.

SERVICE:  A Memorial Service in remembrance of Dolores will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Mike Koebel officiating.

Memorials in Dolores’ name can be directed to the Washington County Humane Society.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Froedtert West Bend Hospital for their kind and compassionate care, especially Hospitalist Dr. Heffernan; MCU Nurses Alicia G, Emily, and Morgan; and CCTs, Heather, Joshua, and Zoe.
