Dolores O. Lochen, (nee Soares), age 85, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday June 24, 2008 at the Aurora Medical Center-Hartford.
She was born on April 11, 1923 in Somerset, MA to the late Anton and Marie (nee Gonsalves) Soares, and was united in marriage to James Lochen on September 9, 1944 at St. Michael's Cathedral in Fall River, MA.
James was from the West Bend area and after completing his time in the military, they moved to West Bend in 1945. In 1956 Dolores started working at the Amity Company, where she spent 23 years, until retiring in 1979.
She was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish, and the West Bend VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving mother and enjoyed being with her family.
Dolores is survived by her four children, James (Alice) Lochen of West Bend, Richard (Tina) Lochen of West Bend, Maureen (Dan) Kramer of Weyauwega, and Pamela (Bob) Schumacher of West Bend; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Tillie Miranda of Berkley, MA, and Marion Cestodio of Fall River, MA; a sister-in-law, Katherine Landrath of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 2002; three sisters; four brothers; a granddaughter Lori May Lochen; and a sister-in-law Virginia Schloemer.
A Mass of Christian Burial in Remembrance of Dolores will be held on Friday, June 27th at 3:00 pm at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish, West Bend (1610 Monroe St.). Rev. Michael Moran will be the Celebrant, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday, at the church, from 1:00 pm until the time of Mass.
