Donald H. Dengel, age 68, of West Bend, passed away Wednesday November 26, 2008 at Hartford Aurora Medical Center.
He was born on December 11, 1939 in West Bend to the late Howard and Marie (nee Rinn) Dengel. Don attended West Bend schools and graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1957.
Don worked in the accounting department at Mallard Coach for many years and later at Mies Products until his retirement in 2005.
On August 28, 1971 Don was united in marriage to Gloria Herman at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hartford. Together they made their home in West Bend.
He was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. Don enjoyed fishing. He played football and baseball on city leagues and later in life enjoyed watching those sports on TV.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; a brother, Jan (Caryl) Dengel of West Bend; a sister, Roseann Zautcke of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Ringer and Janice Zysk, both of Lake Worth, FL; a brother-in-law, Ronald (Lillian) Sullivan of Milwaukee; his pet pals, Fritzie, Sambo, Timmy, Pepper, Minks, Peeps, and Skippy; other dear relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Don will be held on Monday December 1st at 2:00 pm at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S. Seventh Ave.). Rev. Sean Granger will be the celebrant. Visitation will be Monday at the church only from 11:00 am until the time of Mass. Burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park on Tuesday at 10:00 am.
