Donald S. Habeck, age 90, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in the Town of West Bend.
He was born on January 6, 1922 in the Town of Kewaskum to the late Louis and Augusta (nee Schulz) Habeck. On June 21, 1952, Donald was united in marriage to Alma Shephard at Emmanuel Ev. United Brotheran Church in Jefferson.
In 1961, Donald began working for the West Bend Company and continued until retiring. He enjoyed playing the organ for several area churches and also taught piano. He had a great passion for gardening.
Donald is survived by his wife, Alma; two sons, Donald (Beverly) Habeck of Hartland and Darryl Habeck of West Bend; three grandchildren, Carrie Anne (Mark) Van Dehy, Tracy (Bob) Bowie, and Corey Habeck; one great-granddaughter, Tessa Bowie; other relatives and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Jennifer Habeck.
Visitation will be at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend, on Thursday, October 11th from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Buffalo Trinity Cemetery in the Town of Kewaskum.
Memorials in Donald's name will be designated to an appropriate charity at a later date.
