Donald G. Kletti, 88, of West Bend, entered Eternal Life on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Cottages at Cedar Run, West Bend.
He was born on April 21, 1928 to the late Walter and Lola (nee Nehrbass) Kletti in the town of West Bend. After high school, he worked as a milk tester for local farms. He honorable served in the United States Army from 1950 until 1952. On May 15, 1954, he was united in marriage to Grace Clausing at Grace Lutheran Church in Thiensville. Donald worked as a meat cutter for 40 years until retiring in 1991. He liked gardening, golfing, and playing sheepshead. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. Donald was a very kind and outgoing person that would talk to anyone. Donald also enjoyed volunteering. He was a good listener and loved to give hugs, but most of all was very proud of his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Those Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Grace Kletti; three children, Kathryn (David) Knepprath, Daniel (Karen) Kletti, and Sharon (Donald) Maegli; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Robert) Wojdyla, Kevin Kletti, and Monica (Kevin) Curtis; five great-grandchildren, Bruce Curtis, Madeline Curtis, Lannon (Alissa) Martin, Lindsay (Will) Richison, and Sage Wojdyla; one great-great-grandchild, Emma Richison; two brothers, Alan (Betty) Kletti and Walter (Mary) Kletti; two sisters, Carol Hilgenberg and Jeanne (Curtis) Forester; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Bernice (Howard) Grasse and a brother-in-law, Harold Hilgenberg.
A funeral service in remembrance of Donald will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4860 Arthur Rd., Slinger. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
The family will greet family and friends at the church Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials to Cedars Community, St. Luke Lutheran Church, or to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in Donald’s name are appreciated by the family.
