Donald E. Lutz of the City of West Bend, entered Eternal Life on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his home. He was surrounded by his family.
Don was born on May 31, 1929 on the family farm in the Town of West Bend to the late Ed and Florence (nee Bastian) Lutz. On October 3, 1959 he was united in marriage to Carol Schneider at St. Mathias Church in Nabob.
His passion was his love for family and his animals. Don enjoyed going to fairs, going to sheep exhibitions, judging various animal shows, and just about anything to do with animals. He also was an avid hunter and enjoyed any trip that included hunting of any kind. Don also loved going out to eat, and visiting with his friends and relatives. He really enjoyed a good cup of coffee. However much he enjoyed animals, his true love was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (nee Schneider), his loving wife of 55 years. He is further survived by his three children, Mary (Dan) Logan, John Lutz (FiancAC., Brenda), and Dr. Sue Weisse (Nick) and three grandchildren: Molly Logan, Dominic Weisse, and Elizabeth Weisse and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his Father and Mother in law, Joseph (Olive) Schneider.
A public visitation in remembrance of Don will be held on Thursday February 26 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St. West Bend. A private family mass will follow.
