Donald "Don" Cyrillus Krell

Surrounded in the love and comfort of his family, Donald “Don” Cyrillus Krell passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 while visiting his son in McAllen, Texas.

Born 77 years ago on April 19, 1947 to Constantine and Adelia (nee Mueller) Krell, Don was raised in the West Bend area and graduated from West Bend High School in 1965.

Out of high school, Don worked at West Bend Company on the factory floor until he was called to duty in service of his country in the Vietnam War in 1967. Upon returning from war in 1969, Don resumed work at the West Bend Company. He married Sharon (nee Kuechler) Krell on February 10, 1968 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.

Don worked a variety of jobs including being a driver with Beine Milk Transport, working with John Lamm, Trac International, and most recently with Modern Equipment. A most treasured time Don shared was with his “Breakfast Club” friends from Modern Equipment.

As a huge card player, Don was known for running the table at the casino with friends, driving there in the conversion van. Beyond any job or hobby, Don’s favorite role was as the beloved husband, father, and grandfather everyone knew him to be. Though his physical body fades from us, his memory is something that can never be taken or forgotten. He will be missed beyond words.

His loving wife Sharon of 56 years survives him, as well as his two doting sons and their wives, Randy (Jill) Krell of Kewaskum, and Craig (Audree) Krell of McAllen, Texas. Don was a cherished grandpa to Makenna, Caden, Olivia, Bo, Bella, and Brooklyn; and a beloved brother to Marie (Vernon) Jacoby, and Teresa (the late Bob) Berend.

Don will be greeted at the Gates by his parents, brother-in-law Bob, and his nephew Steven Jacoby.

SERVICE DETAILS:  A gathering to remember and celebrate Don’s life will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the lower level of the Boltonville Fire Department (9336 Bolton Dr. Kewaskum, WI 53040).
