Donna Mae Lenz, age 47 of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 16, 2010 at home in West Bend in the caring and loving arms of Jenny and Chuck Chapman.
She was born on March 20, 1963 in West Bend to the late Chuck and Rita (nee Kircher) Lenz. Donna was a graduate at St. Mary's Catholic School and West Bend East High School. She went on to work at several different companies in the area and became very diverse in areas of the manufacturing field. It wasn't until she landed a job at the vets office that her natural skills were put to the most good. Donna was a serious animal lover. She didn't always go for the cutest, smartest or most expensive pet, but more the ones that needed her most and she could spoil, which she did.
Donna had no children of her own, but given the 10 nieces and nephews she had, they were like her very own. She was a wonderful daughter, sister and auntie. Always finding time to share a good laugh and spend some time.
Once she felt the wind in her hair on the back of a Harley Davidson, she was hooked. She and her good friends saw the seasons and shared the freedoms of the open road together which Donna was passionate about. She seemed to stand a little taller.
Donna was the youngest of six children and is survived by her five brothers and sisters, Gale Zurn of Campbellsport, Christine Wiedmeyer of CO, Steven Lenz of Chicago, IL, Daniel (Connie) Lenz of Madison, SD, Jean (Randy) Schmitt of Montello. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Angie (Jeremy) Grinwald, Austin (Brooke) Engelhardt, Alli Zurn, Brian (Staci) Wiedmeyer, Kelly (Joe) Van Hook, Chad Frewaldt, Shannon (Shawn) Frewaldt, Jessica Barnes, Joseph (Arielle) Barnes, Kelly Schmitt and eight great-nieces and nephews. Donna is further survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles and dear life long friends. She truly enjoyed all kinds of people and will be sadly missed by many.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Donna will be held on Thursday, April 22nd at 3:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Church of St. Mary, 1610 Monroe Street, West Bend with Rev. Jerry Repenshek presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 1:00 pm until the time of mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorials to St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church are appreciated.
