Doris A. Solheim

June 20, 1935 — October 28, 2014

Doris A. Solheim (nee Ewert), 79, of West Bend, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at The Kathy Hospice with her family by her side.

She was born on June 20, 1935 in West Bend and was baptized in October of 1935 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. She attended St John's Lutheran School and was confirmed in her faith at St. John's on May 22, 1949. She graduated from West Bend High school in June of 1953. After graduation she worked in the office at the Amity Leather. On February 19, 1955 she was united in marriage to Donald Solheim at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend. In 1969 she was employed by the West Bend Company until her retirement in 1997. In May of 2000 she started working at Walmart in the one hour photo until she retired in October of 2009. She was a member of the altar guild at church. She enjoyed baking and was a big Brewer and Packer fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her six children, Debbie (Neal) Carsen, Diane (John) Stockhausen, Doreen Solheim, Dawn (Kevin) Juech, David (Mary) Solheim, and Doug (Kathy) Solheim; ten grandchildren, Craig (Bobbi) Carsen, Cari (Matt) Kavetschanky, Brad (Heidi Kirchner) Stockhausen, Ashley (FiancAC. Cory Lynn) Stockhausen, Bryan Solheim, Jason (Amy) Juech, Amanda Juech, Dylan Solheim, Aimee Solheim, and Natalie Solheim; three great-grandchildren, CharleeAnn Solheim, Drew Carsen, and Cole Carsen; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lora Ewert; husband, Donald; daughter and son in law, Dannyel (James) Lawrence; sister and her husband, Kate (Dave) Miller.

A funeral service in remembrance of Doris will be held on Saturday, November 1st at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, (809 S. 6th Ave.), West Bend. Pastor David Kellerman will officiate. Entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and Kathy Hospice are appreciated by the family.

The family would like to thank Cedar Lake Home, Kathy Hospice, and the doctors and nurses at the Aurora Hospital in Hartford.
