Dorothy A. Etta, 89, of Kewaskum, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Beechwood Rest Home in Beechwood.
She was born on June 19, 1918, in the town of Scott, the daughter of the late Charles and Hattie (Voigt) Firme, and on June 25, 1938, she was united in marriage to Earl Etta at Beechwood United Church of Christ in Beechwood. Her husband preceded her in death on June 21, 1989.
Dorothy was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum and the Ladies’ Aid. She was also a member of the Kewaskum Senior Citizens, was a Republican Party supporter, and was employed by the West Bend Company in West Bend for many years. Dorothy treasured being a grandmother and great-grandmother, spending time with her family and baking desserts to share with them.
Survivors include two children, Perry Etta of Kewaskum and DuAne (Normie) Dogs of West Bend

Five grandchildren, Carey (Eric) Flanders, Jill (Robert) Nieskes, Jody (Joel) Schriever, Jon (Julie) Etta and Kory (Sarah) Dogs
Eleven great-grandchildren, Austin, Hunter and Keaton Flanders; Katherine, Kevin and Rachel Etta; Kyler and Gretta Schriever and Mikayla, Carson and Madilyn Dogs
Special cousins, Nelda Heberer of West Bend and Gerhardt Firme of Batavia
A brother-in-law, Lloyd (Rita) Etta of Kewaskum, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, Ethan Etta; two brothers, Clarence and Lester Firme and two sisters, Letha Orlow and Norma Firme.
Funeral services for Dorothy were held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2008, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1417 Parkview Drive in Kewaskum. Rev. Troy Swenson officiated and burial was on Monday in Boltonville Union Cemetery in Boltonville.
Relatives and friends called on Sunday at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
