Dorothy A. Maglio, (nee Storey), age 86, of West Bend, passed away peacefully March 2, 2006 at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 22, 1919 in Milwaukee to the late William and Ida (nee Diefenthaler) Storey. She graduated from Girls Tech High School in Milwaukee, class of 1938. Dorothy was united in marriage to Sebastian "Shaney" Maglio on August 30, 1941 at the Army Base Shaney was stationed at in Iowa.
Dorothy worked at the former Wilbert's Bakery in Milwaukee until retiring in 1994, after which they moved to West Bend.
She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, and her family. Especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Sebastian; three children, Daro Maglio, Theresa (Jerry) Stehling, and Sandi (Jim) Quade, all of West Bend; six grandchildren, David (Denise D.) Maglio, Denise M. Maglio, Angee Maglio, Dina (Brett) Mendola, Shaney Stehling, and Monte Stehling; five great-grandchildren, Samantha Jo Maglio, Sydney Jo Maglio, Graham, Mya, and Hailey Mendola; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Gagliano, Jean Costa, and Caroline Rathkamp; and a brother, Kenneth Storey.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held on Monday, March 6th at 5:00 pm at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend. Rev. John Wutscheck will be the celebrant. Visitation will be Monday at the church only from 3:00 pm until the time of Mass. There will also be a Visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee before the committal and entombment.
