Dorothy C. Nigh, 81, of the town of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend.
She was born on March 19, 1925, in the town of Auburn, the daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret (Schiltz) Harter, and on April 8, 1947, she was united in marriage to Alban Nigh at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum and a member of the Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Alban; four daughters, Cathy (David) Schaefer, Linda (Richard) Yahr, Diane (Gerald) Schneider and Lori (Harry) Roecker all of Kewaskum; nine grandchildren, Michael (Gail) Yahr, Beth (Bert) Falak, Julie (Chad) Wondra, Debbie (Craig) Martin, Mary (Paul) Reis, Joel Roecker, Tim Schneider, Jenna Roecker and Sandra Schaefer; six great-grandchildren, Alayna and McKenna Falak, Andrea and Morgan Yahr, Ashlyn Roecker and Chase Wondra, other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother, Sylvester Harter.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy was held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial was at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called on Saturday at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
