Dorothy L. Roessler, nee Clasen, age 88, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on March 7, 1922 in Milwaukee to the late Henry and Irma (nee Boldt) Clasen. On June 19, 1943, Dorothy was united in marriage to Elroy Roessler in Milwaukee. Elroy preceded her in death on October 27, 2000.
Dorothy was a member of Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend, and was formerly a Sunday School teacher at Covenant Lutheran Church and Emmaus Lutheran Church, Milwaukee. In 1991 she moved to Cedar Ridge in West Bend.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (John) Elsenbroich of Racine and Robert (Christine) Roessler of Cedarburg; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Curtiss) Plath of Racine, Timothy Elsenbroich of Racine, Grace Roessler of Cedarburg and Jacqueline Roessler of Cedarburg; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Bryce Plath; other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elroy; a sister, Gladys Clasen and a brother, Harvey Clasen.
Funeral services in remembrance of Dorothy will be held on Thursday, December 23rd at 11:00 am at Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Drive, West Bend with Rev. Christopher Raffa and Rev. Joseph Fisher officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee.
