Dorothy Wells, nee Hopson, age 91, of Jackson, WI passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend, WI
She was born on October 2, 1916 in Old Forge, NY to the late Raymond and Francis (nee Nettleton) Hopson. Dorothy held a masters degree in Art and Home Economics. She was united in marriage to Charles P. Wells in East Lansing, MI where they began a family. Throughout her life she enjoyed careers such as an artist, a musician, and a clown.
She is survived by three children, Robert L. (Sherry) Wells of DeWitt, MI, Michael C. (Phyllis) Wells of Williamsburg, MI, and Virginia F. Wells (Ron Mueller) of Germantown, WI; and four grandchildren, Lori Patterson, Ryan Wells, Philip Wells and Angela Hong. She is further survived by four great-grandchildren and many other dear relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Edgewood United Church in East Lansing, MI. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memory Gardens in Okemos, MI.
