Dorothy M. (Wagner) Winkler

December 11, 1920 — August 18, 2015

Dorothy M Winkler (nee Wagner), 94, of West Bend, found peace on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend.

She was born on December 11, 1920 to the late John and Ester (nee Heller) Wagner in Hamilton, WI. She graduated from Cedarburg High School. She was united in marriage to Edmund Winkler. She worked at Mcgraw-Edison for 30 years, retiring in 1976. She enjoyed playing Sheepshead, bowling on the senior league, and gardening. She liked the Packers, often yelling at the TV as she watched. She also liked to sew, often making her own cloths. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend and enjoyed attending her weekly bible class.

She is survived by her son, James Winkler; nephew, Terry (Margaret) Wagner; niece, Christi (Mike) Tamsen; and sister-in-law, Peggy Wagner.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Leland Wagner.

A Funeral service in remembrance of Dorothy will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 5:30 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, (1315 W. Washington St.), West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at Washington County Memorial Park.
