Eda P. Burnett, (nee Perantoni) age 89, of West Bend, formerly of Ballston Lake, NY passed away Tuesday December 30, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend.
She was born on March 1, 1919 in Barre, VT to the late Attilio and Giovanna (nee Tedeschi) Perantoni, and graduated from Spalding High School in the class of 1937.
On December 9, 1939 Eda was united in marriage to James A. Burnett in Barre, VT. Together they resided in the Ballston Lake area until moving to the West Bend area several years ago to be closer to their daughter Giannina.
Eda was formerly employed at the Rock of Ages Company in Barre, VT. She was an auxiliary member of the East Glenville volunteer fire department. Eda received great enjoyment at volunteering in the elementary school libraries in the Burnt Hills Ballston Lake School District.
She is survived by three children, Giannina (John) Radcliffe of West Bend, Ann (Mike) Dahlin of Prescott, AZ, and Scott (Claire) Burnett of Falmouth, ME; three grandchildren, Elizabeth (David Kramlich) Radcliffe, Kristofer (Andrea) Radcliffe, and Shawn Dahlin; four great-grandchildren, Madison Radcliffe, Hayden Radcliffe, Charlotte Radcliffe, and Campbell Kramlich; a brother Edo (Agnes) Perantoni of Barre, VT; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Perantoni of Barre, VT; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband James in January of 2006; a grandson, Jake Dahlin; and a brother Olvero Perantoni.
Funeral Mass in remembrance of Eda will be held on Friday January 9th at 10:00 am at St. James Episcopal Church (8th and Walnut St.) Fr. Kevin Carroll will be the Celebrant. A reception to visit with the family will follow. Entombment will take place at a later date in Hope Cemetery in Barre, VT.
