Edgar "Ed" Landess Jr., 77, of Kewaskum, passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 at his residence.
He was born June 24, 1932 in Hillsboro, Ohio to the late Edgar and Zora (nee Vance) Landess. He married Arlene Larson on Sept. 13, 1952 at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Ed served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was honorably discharged in 1955. He was employed by Consolidated Freightways for many years, retiring in 1994. Ed and Arlene also operated their craft business, Dream Scenes, and participated in area craft fairs for many years.
Ed is survived by his wife, Arlene; five children, Linda (Michael) Landusky, Bryon (Beth) Landess, Bruce (Debbie) Landess, Lisa (Glenn) Engel, and Lanette (Pat) Tucek; a son-in-law, David Wimmer; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laverne Rhoads and Shirley Hull; a brother, Galen "Shorty" (Madeline) Landess; a sister-in-law, Dolly Landess; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Wimmer, and a brother, Galo Landess.
Funeral services will be held on Wed., Oct. 7 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Chimes at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield and entombment will follow. Visitation will be in the Chapel of the Chimes from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
