Edith E. Bussey

August 22, 1941 — July 10, 2005

Edith E. Bussey, nee Treichel, age 63, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005.

She was born on August 22, 1941 in Milwaukee to the late Ralph and Marg (nee Katzenbach) Treichel. She attended Carrol College and graduated with a B.S. degree in economics. Shortly after her graduation she married the love of her life, Robert Bussey, on June 4, 1966.

Edith took pride in a very successful career, which lead her to be the Vice President and Branch Manager of Guaranty Bank in Germantown. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Slinger where she served as past president of the church council. Prior to that she taught Sunday school and served as treasurer of the church council for Ascension Lutheran Church in Green Bay.

Edith lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many hobbies like: traveling, sewing, arts and crafts, boating, snowmobiling, and cooking. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of West Bend; her two children, John (Susan) Bussey of Valparaiso, IN, and Brian (Dora) Bussey of Winnetka, IL; four grandchildren, Isabella and Sawyer Bussey of Valparaiso, IN, and Alexandra and Jackson Bussey of Winnetka, IL; a brother, Ralph (Sally) Treichel of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Jan Guesch of West Bend; three sisters-in-law, Dee Zalewski, Judy Gormen, and Terry Bussey; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law, Chuck Guesch and Chuck Zalewski.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2005 at 6:00 pm at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Slinger with Rev. Rick Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm.
