September 16, 1938 — February 26, 2012

Edith M. Radke (Nee Crawford), age 73, of Mayville completed her journey following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's while surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Charleston House in Beaver Dam.

Edith was born on September 16, 1938 to the late Elton and Isabelle (nee Mischler) Crawford in Osborne, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Duane A. Radke on January 4, 1958 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina, Kansas. Edith truly loved being an Air Force wife, taking care of her family, and spending time with her granddaughters who she affectionately called her "Sweeties". She enjoyed going to country music concerts, Nascar races, and traveling the country. She was a loving wife and enjoyed being a gopher for her husband.

Edith is survived by her husband, Duane of Mayville; her two sons, Robert (Debbie) Radke of Mayville and David Radke of Mayville; and her two granddaughters, Tanya Radke and her friend (Brian Wallace) of Appleton and Amanda Radke of Mayville. She is further survived by four brothers, Dewane Crawford of Salina, KS, Lloyd (Paula) Crawford of Sequim, WA, Richard Crawford of Salina, KS, and Elton (Marilyn) Crawford of Salina, KS; a brother-in-law, Ken (Shirley) Radke; a sister-in-law, Carol (Ted) Kaiser; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Kenneth Crawford.

A memorial mass in honor of Edith will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 2:30 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mayville with Rev. Tom Biersack presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of mass. Burial of Edith's cremated remains will be in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
