Edna G. Wilke, 92, of the town of Scott, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008, at the Plymouth Care Center in Plymouth.
She was born on July 9, 1916, in the town of Osceola, the daughter of the late John and Jessie (Parrett) Corbett, and on April 24, 1937, she was united in marriage to Arthur Wilke at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Silver Creek. Her husband preceded her in death on May 5, 1976.
Edna was a member of New Horizon United Church of Christ in the town of Farmington.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce (Andrew) Herriges of Adell; three grandchildren, Robert (Holly) Herriges, Vicki (Jim) Keller and Julie Herriges (special friend, Lois Malczewski); six great-grandchildren, Cory (Kim) Herriges, Marshall Herriges, Chad LeClair (special friend, Laura), Tyler LeClair, Allison Keller and Jonathon Malczewski; a great-great-granddaughter, Mary Herriges, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Edna was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Corbett and two sisters, Ethel Wendelborn and Mildred Krause.
Funeral services for Edna were held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at New Horizon United Church of Christ, 9663 Highway 144 North, in the town of Farmington. Rev. David Schlieter officiated and burial was at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday in St. Paul U.C.C. Cemetery in Silver Creek.
Relatives and friends called on Wednesday at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
