Edward P. Guerndt, age 76, of West Bend, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2006 at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
He was born on January 6, 1930 in Milwaukee, the son of the late Edward and Olive (Kramer) Guerndt, and on February 7, 1947, he was united in marriage to Audrey Washburn in Hartford.
Edward served his country in the U. S. Army in 1946 and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Audrey; seven children, Karen (Lawrence) Baumgartner of Kenosha, Shirley (Michael) Wigman of Fox Lake, Dennis (LeAnne) Guerndt of Duluth, Minnesota, Michael (Judy) Guerndt of Eden, David Guerndt and Scott (Kathy) Guerndt both of Kewaskum and Shawn (Karla) Guerndt of West Bend; three sisters, Bernice (August) Parchim of the town of Farmington, Doris Tennies of West Bend and Pat (Ernest) Thorn of Cedarburg; 14 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, other relatives and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond (Grace) Guerndt; a sister, Mary Jane Guerndt; a grandchild, Erin Guerndt and a brother-in-law, Henry Tennies.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and cremation followed.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
