Edward "Ace" Krebs, age 56, of the Town of Wayne, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 19, 1950 in West Bend to Daniel and Mildred (nee Gutjahr) Krebs. Edward was united in marriage to Darlene Terlinden on November 23, 1974 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Wayne. He was employed by Quad Graphics for many years and worked in the maintenance department. Edward enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, fishing, and all sporting events. If he wasn't playing, he was on the sideline cheering on his children and grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Edward is survived by his wife, Darlene; his three children, Kristin (Tony) Cappozzo, Timothy Krebs, and Tricia (Jim) Wichtoski; and his three grandchildren, Brandon Susen, Kaeden Cappozzo, and Alec Cappozzo. He is further survived by his mother, Mildred; his two sisters, Rosie (Al) Klemm, and Janet (Glenn) Frank; his four brothers, Stephen, Adrian (Kathy), David (Chris), and Alan (Janis) Krebs; his father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Pearl Terlinden; and his brother-in-law, Dennis (Debby) Terlinden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Daniel.
A funeral service in honor of Edward's life will be held on Tuesday, September 25, at 7:00 pm at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church (6438 County Hwy. D, Allenton, WI 53002). Rev. Steven Bode will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm. Burial will take place in Zion Church Cemetery on Wednesday at 10:00 am. Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
