Edward P. Kuklinski, 86, of the town of Kewaskum, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009, at the Fond du Lac Health Care Center in Fond du Lac.
He was born on April 27, 1922, in Bayonne, New Jersey, the son of the late Paul and Helen (Federocko) Kuklinski, and on October 2, 1943, he was united in marriage to Ruth Stachowiak in Milwaukee.
Edward served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and also in the U.S. Air Corp. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels and the Knights of Columbus Father Casper Rehrl Council #1964 West Bend. He was one of the founding members of the Washington American Legion Post in Milwaukee and was a member of the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post #384 Kewaskum. Edward enjoyed photography and was the owner and operator of Art Craft Studio in Milwaukee. He was the first baby photographer at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Edward was employed by Delco in Milwaukee, retiring in 1983 after 27 years of service. He loved his land, the outdoors and all kinds of music, especially jazz.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Ruth; two children, Craig Kuklinski of Milwaukee and Doreen (David) Schildt of Kewaskum; a brother, Steve Kuklinski of Milwaukee; a sister, Jennie Zamjahn of Appleton; five grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by a brother, Paul; an infant twin brother to Steve; a brother-in-law, Eugene “Sonny” Zamjahn and a sister-in-law, Irene Kuklinski.
A Memorial Mass for Edward was held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 8881 Forest View Road in St. Michaels (Kewaskum). Military honor rites by members of the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384 Kewaskum followed Mass. Cremation took place, and burial of the cremains was in the parish cemetery.
Edward’s family received relatives and friends on Thursday at the church from noon until the time of Mass.
