Eileen M. Kirchner, nee Suchy, 89, of West Bend, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004 at Cedar Community in West Bend.
She was born with a twin brother on May 10, 1915 in West Bend to the late Stanley and Ellen (nee O'Toole) Suchy. On July 9, 1938 she was united in marriage to William C. Kirchner at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend.
Before her marriage, Eileen worked at Amity Leather in West Bend for a few years. She then did cake decorating out of her home for many years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend, and the Lutheran Church Women. She was an active member and past president of the Washington County Historical Society, which she helped organize from its inception. She also donated many of her father's photographs to the historical society. She was an active member and supporter of the West Bend Art Museum. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Women of the Moose and the Washington County Homemakers.
She is survived by her husband, William; four children, Carl (Joyce) Kirchner of West Bend, Elyn Kirchner of Minneapolis, MN, Colleen (Dan) Rosbeck of West Bend, and Keith Kirchner of West Bend; five grandchildren, Cynthia (Jim) Bruder of West Bend, Tammy (Peter) Nelson of West Bend, Kristel Kirchner of West Bend, Ryan Rosbeck of West Bend, and Timothy Kirchner of Oshkosh; three great-grandchildren, Emily Nelson, Julia Bruder and Jayden Rosbeck; a daughter-in-law, Betty Jane Kirchner of Oshkosh; a sister-in-law, Helen Burckhardt of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Henry Kirchner of West Bend; her twin brother's daughter, Carol Steiner of Minocqua; many other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Edward Suchy; two sisters-in-law, Vinelda Schulz and Esther Kirchner; and two brothers-in-law, Rudy Schulz and James Burckhardt.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (7th Ave. and Elm St.) in West Bend. Rev. David Schoob will officiate and burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, on Tuesday. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
