Elizabeth A. “Betty” Heyde, 78, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at Hartford Aurora Medical Center in Hartford.
She was born on August 8, 1930, the daughter of the late Clifford and Maude (Guertler) Rose.
Betty was a schoolteacher for many years and was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.
Survivors include a special friend, Lonnie Harris; a son, Clifford Heyde of Galveston, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Murphy-Heyde of Augusta, Maine; a brother, Robert Rose of Norfolk, Virginia; six grandchildren, Katherine “Kat”, Clifford Brian, Morgan Elizabeth, Zachary, Jeremy and Bryan, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a son, David.
A Memorial Service for Betty was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2008, at Peace United Church of Christ 343 First St. in Kewaskum with Rev. Eric Kirkegaard officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in Platteville.
The family received visitors at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
