Betty was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” H. Bellin on August 17, 1946 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa. Bob and Betty started their life together on the farm on Church Road where they resided for 60 years. The couple became members of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in (Town of Jackson), where they both sang in the choir. Feeling strongly about the importance of a Lutheran education after both attending parochial high schools, they sent their daughters to Milwaukee Lutheran High School and their son to Concordia High School. Bob and Betty were married for 70 years until his passing in 2016.
Betty graduated from Lutheran High School in Milwaukee in 1940. After high school she attended and graduated from Prospect Hall Business School. Before marriage she was secretary/receptionist at L.J. Zedler Insurance Agency and for Lutheran Welfare Society of Wisconsin. After she was married she worked in the sales department for Roundy’s Foods and later she was clerk/carrier at the Cedarburg Post Office.
Betty always collected antiques and her favorite past time was going to auctions and rummage sales. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and traveling. Her most memorable trips were to the Holy Land and visiting two pen pals in England.
