Elliott Fauster

Elliott C. Fauster, age 66, of Eden, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

Elliott was born on October 11, 1945 in West Bend to the late Joseph and Marcella (nee Rahn) Fauster. He attended West Bend High School and graduated in 1963. Following his graduation, Elliott served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Elliott was the President and CEO of Easter Seals in Flint, MI for 21 years before retiring in September of 2004.

He was a published author, with his book "The Sweetest Stories Ever Told" being published in 2003. He also won philanthropist of the year, and several other awards for his dedication to people with disabilities.

Elliott is survived by his three daughters, Laurel Fauster of Magnolia, TX, Maureen Wilson of Flint, MI, and Sarah (Julius) Sorma of Mentor on The Lake, OH; five grandchildren, Aaron Fauster, Alex and Rachel Dodd, and Charlotte and Ruby Sorma; and two great-granddaughters Sitala and Eilan Fauster. He is further survived by two sisters, Barbara (Paul) Theisen of West Bend and Marcella (Charles) Schlosser of West Bend; two brothers, Joseph (Mary) Fauster of Urbandale, IA and Kenneth Fauster of Campbellsport; a sister-in-law, Bernice "Bernie" Fauster of Sarasota, FL; a brother-in-law, Richard Laabs of Hartford; and many other dear relatives and close friends.

Elliott was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ann Laabs; and his brother Clifton Fauster.

A funeral service in honor of Elliott will be held on Saturday, December 31st at 11:00 am at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, December 30th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Cremation will follow the service and burial of his cremated remains will take place in Campbellsport Union Cemetery.
