Elmer E. Wren, age 96, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006 at SynergyHealth St. Joseph's Hospital in the town of Polk.
He was born on October 8, 1909 in Neilsville to the late Thomas and Amy (nee King) Wren. Elmer married Shirley Graff on August 9, 1990 in West Bend.
Elmer was employed at Bend Industries for many years and he also worked for the railroad performing engine maintenance. He retired in 1975. He was a member of the West Bend Moose Lodge #1398.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; four step-children, Edgar Krause, Jr., Gerald (Kathleen) Krause, Charles (Diane) Krause, and Joanne (Albert) Sunn, Jr.; a granddaughter, Cindy (Dennis) Gerriettes; a great-granddaughter, Danielle Gerriettes; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Frederick Krause.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Victor Hackbarth will officiate and burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park on Thursday. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
