Eloise A. Schwichtenberg, 88, of Lomira, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
She was born on June 25, 1925, in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late Harvey and Lillian (Gilbertson) Klueger, and on May 20, 1950, she was united in marriage to Walter “Wally” Schwichtenberg at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Brownsville.
Eloise was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lomira. A favorite pastime for Eloise was crocheting and she enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers games. She will be deeply missed by her husband, her family and by all who knew her.
Those Eloise leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 64 years, Wally; three children, Gary (Joni) Schwichtenberg of Seattle, Washington, Sharon Schwichtenberg of Lomira and Ellen (Steve) Elmore of Des Moines, Iowa; a brother, Louis (Theresa) Klueger of Mayville; a sister, Harriet “Muzzy” Luehring of Mayville; a brother-in-law, Harvey Heup of Grafton; a sister-in-law, Virginia Klueger of Knowles, four grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Jr.; two sisters, Eldred (Al) Schumacher and Gladys "Lynn" Heup and a brother-in-law, Don Luehring.
A memorial service for Eloise was held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lomira with Rev. Dan Schmidt officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
The Schwichtenberg family greeted relatives and friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to St. John’s Building Fund or St. John’s Organ Repair Fund are appreciated.
The Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira was entrusted with Eloise’s arrangements.
