Elroy E. Genz, age 87, of the town of Barton, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center in the town of West Bend.
He was born on September 29, 1924 in Saukville to the late Erwin and Elsie (nee Quass) Genz. On October 19, 1946, Elroy was united in marriage to Laverne Backhaus at the Lutheran Church in Batavia. Laverne preceded him in death on February 13, 2005.
He worked in production and as a product tester for the Gehl Company, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Gehl Hexelbank Club.
Elroy is survived by three children, James (Nancy Schilling-Genz) Genz of West Bend, Pat (Joe) Bingen of Richfield and Judy (Dave) Loken of West Bend; sister, Delores Hoffman of Cedarburg and brother-in-law, Edward (Janice) Backhaus of Mayville; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Laverne Genz; and son, Gary Genz.
Private family services and inurnment in Washington County Memorial Park were held.
