Erhard F. Klug

Erhard F. Klug, 98, of the town of Scott, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa.


He was born on September 19, 1914, in the town of Scott, the son of the late Edwin and Alma (Heise) Klug, and on October 26, 1940, he was united in marriage to Viola Bock at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. Erhard and Viola made their home and farmed on the Klug homestead until retiring in 1978. Viola preceded Erhard in death on November 21, 2002.


Erhard was a life-long and very involved member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Grade School and was confirmed in 1928. Erhard enjoyed singing in the church choir, was a member of the church quartet, was a Sunday school superintendent and teacher. He loved being with his family and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.


Those Erhard leaves behind to cherish his memory include three daughters, Carol Koepke (Ken Buslaff) of Campbellsport, June (Irv) Lepp of Random Lake and Jean Prost of Kewaskum; a sister-in-law, Erna Bock of Bear Creek; 11 grandchildren, Regina (Randy) Walter, Phil Koepke, Erich (Jody) Koepke, Arvin (Jeanne) Koepke, Mel (Cindy) Lepp, Jon (Dixie) Lepp, Jodi Cauwels, Melanie Lepp, Angela (Pat) Fischer, Brett (Lisa) Prost and Brian (Amanda) Prost; 15 great-grandchildren; step grandchildren; step great-grandchildren, step great-great-grandchildren, a special niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.


In addition to his wife and parents, Erhard was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Werner Koepke and William Prost; a granddaughter-in-law, Riki Koepke; brothers and sisters-in-law, Erich, Gilbert, Edgar, Ervin and Arnold Bock, Esther Bock, Edna Sutherland and Lillian Heiman.


Funeral services for Erhard were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. Rev. Kurt Ziemann officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery.


Relatives and friends called at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.


The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Erhard’s arrangements.
